This Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo Bake is a creamy, cheesy, and comforting casserole packed with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and pasta tossed in a rich Alfredo sauce. It’s a perfect weeknight dinner that’s easy to make and sure to be a family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets (about 4 cups)
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar Alfredo sauce (or homemade, see Tips & Tricks)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season chicken cubes with salt and pepper.
  4. Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and cook for 3-5 minutes, until slightly tender-crisp. You may need to add a tablespoon or two of water to help steam the broccoli.
  7. In a large bowl, combine Alfredo sauce, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, milk, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until smooth and creamy.
  8. Add cooked pasta, cooked chicken, and broccoli to the bowl with the Alfredo sauce mixture. Stir to combine.
  9. Pour the mixture into the prepared 9×13 inch baking dish.
  10. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  12. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
